What is IXP?

Internet exchange points – IXP (Internet eXchange Point)  is a communication centre-point where Internet traffic is being exchanged. IXP provides the physical infrastructure where providers of access to Internet (Internet service providers – ISPs), content providers, universities, state agencies, local government authorities, operators and other entities can connect and exchange IP traffic.
